Khartoum, Oct 25, 2017- The Forum on 'Education and Scholars in Sennar Kingdom Age' events, organized by the University of the Holy Quran and Islamic Sciences in cooperation with the Secretariat of Sinar Islamic Culture Capital Project of 2017 will be launched under the auspices of Prof. ATaiyib Hassan Badawi, Minister of Culture and Prof. Sumaya Mohamed Ahmed Abu-Kashawa, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

Dr. Othman Ibrahim, Chairman of the Forum Media Committee, confirmed the completion of all preparations for the launch of the forum activities at which a number of scientific papers dealing with education and scholars in the Sennary Age will be presented.

Dr. Othman added that the forum aims at highlighting the role of the Islamic kingdom of Sennar in dissemination of Islam, renouncing racism and tribalism, realizing social security and peace,  emphasizing the role of scholars in intellectual, cultural, civilizational, economic and social development, the role of Fuqaha (Muslim jurists) in enriching knowledge and simplifying understanding of religious issues and Ahkam (Islamic provisions), and clarifying the role of dissemination of Islam in enhancing Sennar's relations with the world.

It is worth mentioning that the Forum also aims at focusing on the role of the University of the Holy Quran and Islamic Sciences in highlighting the contributions of scholars and Fuqaha (Muslim jurists) to the foundation of Islamic cities.
