Under the auspices of Professor Ibrahim Ahmed Omar, Chairman of the National Council, the University of the Holy Quran and Islamic Sciences held a symposium entitled "The Impacts of the American Decision on the Situation in Al-Aqsa and Palestine". Speakers at the symposium expressed their appreciation for the attitudes of the Sudanese government and people in supporting and defending Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Palestinian issue at all events.
Mr. Usama Adlan, a leader of Hamas participated via phone calling upon the Muslim nation to take a united stand against the decision pointing to the importance of communication between countries and people to confront this decision.
For his part, Prof. Ahmed Saeed Salman, the Vice Chancellor of the U of HQIS, said that the aim of the symposium is to emphasize the ideological nature of Al-Aqsa issue which concerns the Islamic nation. He added that the forum comes within Al-Aqsa Week event "Supporting of Al-Aqsa", which comprised a number of academic programs and activities describing the event as being part of the University's mission in supporting Al- Aqsa and the Palestinian issue.
