The Council of the University of the Holy Quran and Islamic Sciences held its fifth session second meeting at Al-Neelain Mosque Hall on Thursday, 27 December 2018. The meeting was honored with the attendance of Dr. Asadiq Al-Hadi Abd Arahman Al-Mahadi, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Al-Habr Yusuf Nur-Adaim, Chairman of the Council, Prof. Ahmed Saeed Salman, the Vice Chancellor of the University, and membership of the council from inside and outside the university.
Prof. Al-Mahadi, affirmed that the Ministry of Higher education seeks to support the University’s academic and social projects which will contribute to developing the country in different fields. He also pointed that the ministry is endeavoring to establish productive university campuses which target stability of academic staff members, students and community.
On his part, Prof. Al-Habr Yusuf Nur-Al-Daim, the Chairman of the University Council, said that the meeting comes before the Independence Day where he affirmed the Council’s endeavor to serve the university and development of the country, noting that education represents the spearhead of development.
On his part, Prof. Ahmed Saeed Suleiman, Vice Chancellor of the University of the Holy Quran and Islamic Sciences presented the report on the university performance for 2018 besides presentation on financial indicators, strategic plans and projects, pointing out that this year has witnessed an academic stability featuring both academic and extracurricular activities as he also stressed the university endeavor to complete a number of projects that would serve the university employees as well as the community.
In the same context, Dr. Abbas Hamid Al Aa’lim, Principal of the University, presented indicators of the financial report, covering the University's resources and its expenditures, stressing that the University has fulfilled its obligations towards its employees.
