Computer Sciences and Information Technology

All praise and thanks are only for Allah, the One who, by His blessing and favor, perfected good works are accomplished. And peace and blessings be upon Prophet Muhammad(Khitamu an-nubuwah) the seal of prophecy (the last of the prophets).

Combined efforts have been made to realize the establishment of this faculty. These began with the university administration represented in Prof. Ibrahim Norain, former Vice Chancellor of the U of the HQIS who issued decision No. (82) for the year 2011 on preparing a study for establishing the Faculty of Computer Sciences and Information Technology. The proposed study was approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to begin study in the academic year 2013-2014 AD.

 Now the faculty operates on guidance of this plan, and enjoys strong support of the current university administration represented in His Excellency the Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. Ahmed Saeed Salman, Deputy Vice Chancellor Prof. Ma’awya Ahmed Sayyid Ahmed, Secretary for Scientific Affairs Prof. Abdullah Abd AlHai, and all deans and directors of the various departments of the university. May Allah give them the best reward.

 By Allah’s will, these efforts are in two years time expected to bear their fruit in developing competent group of graduates from both male and female- students. In other words, these students would represent the first batch which is expected to contribute to Sudanese labor market in 2018.

This Faculty of Computer Sciences and Information Technology is distinguished for being a faculty which qualifies students through specialist knowledge in computer sciences discipline, and does prior to that grace and honor them by mastering Holy Quran memorization and recitation bedsides studying the necessary Islamic sciences. And for the purpose of fulfilling this consistent combination, the faculty awards its graduates degree of honors after completing five years of study.

This faculty is considered to be a blessed step in the direction of pure and applied sciences. This is by Allah’s will expected to be followed soon by establishing other faculties in scientific disciplines such as medicine, engineering and pharmacy, in the way that would enrich different fields of education and achieve the university’s supreme objectives.

May Allah reward all who have contributed their efforts, opinions and time, among professors, employees and students to see the dream of establishing the faculty has come true, and we ask Allah to grant success and prosperity to this faculty.

May Allah bless us and guide us to the straight path.
