About Department:
In the age of scientific and technological revolution which has been taking place in the world over the late decades, computer sciences has become the science which classifies advancement of countries on the basis of their expertise and qualified persons in this field. Therefore it was the duty of the University of the Holy Quran and Islamic Sciences to keep pace with this development and revolution, and that is exactly what is has actually endeavored to achieve recently.
It is worth mentioning that this revolution has led to an expansion and subdivisions in computer and digital sciences where more than one discipline have fallen into computer science.
These new disciplines have targeted reaching advanced levels the fact which would in turn contribute positively to computer sciences in general.
Among these disciplines are the following: computer sciences, software engineering, information systems, information technology etc ...
Vision
To be a leading program on a national and a global scale in the field of education and scientific research in computer sciences discipline.
Mission
To develop qualified graduates in the field of computer sciences in order to contribute effectively to the establishment of knowledge community and to achieve the national goals of development through providing supportive academic environment for knowledge and acquisition of research and innovation skills in computers discipline. This is in addition to strengthening Islamic Aqeeda (faith) and religion in students in the way which would achieve the development of religiously and academically qualified leaders.
The faculty also seeks to establish cooperation with national and international institutions for the service of Islam.
