Distance Education

It is one of the departments of Academic Affairs. The University started to open distance Education centers in 1996 beginning with Riyadh and Jeddah centers in Saudi Arabia. In the context of developing experience, the Distance Education Council headed by the Deputy Vice Chancellor was established in 2008. A department was also established under the name “Department of Distance Education” by a decision by the Vice Chancellor on 17.4.2009. The Vice Chancellor also issued administrative decision No. (47), 2011 on the formation of a committee to organize Distance Education under the chairmanship of the Secretary of Academic Affairs. The Vice Chancellor issued guidelines for organization and development of Distance Education Administration. The Scientific Council was formed by virtue of the administrative decision no. (47), 2011 comprising nine members.
