The Deanship of Library Affairs

  The Central Library was established in 1990 by the annexation of Omdurman Scientific Institute library into the Faculty of the Holy Qur’an library.

  The Deanship of Library Affairs comprises 50604 titles in (26131) books. It includes considerable collections of periodicals in different fields of knowledge.

  The library provides service for students, teaching staff and graduate students of the university and other universities.

  The Deanship of Library Affairs is concerned with establishment of branch libraries as well as with building up and developing its book collections together with other sources of knowledge. This is in addition to providing such branches with human resources to offer this service for students, teaching staff and other researchers at the central library in Omdurman and its branches in the other states.
